Rosa multiflora - Multiflora Rose . Rosa multiflora is an invasive, weedy species with thorny, arching branches and fragrant blossoms in the late spring. While it can be attractive while in bloom, I know from personal experience this is not a plant you want want to propagate.

Members of the Rosa genus have 5 sepals and 5 white or occasionally pink petals with multiple stamens.

Multiflora rose, as is implied by the species name, has multiple flowers in the inflorescence - from 5 to 30. It is one of a few wild rose species with fused (connate) styles which extend several millimeters above the hypanthium orifice in a column.

The odd-pinnate leaf of Multiflora Rose has 5 to 11 toothed leaflets. There are a pair of fringed stipules at the base of the leaf stalk.
